The configure script should check for all these libs, but nevertheless here is
a list of the dependencies.

Requirements:

- libgtkmm >= 3.0

- libglibmm >= 2.4

- gstreamermm >= -0.10S	 (used for sound)
        to be found at: https://git.gnome.org/browse/gstreamermm

- expat
    an XML parser to be found under http://expat.sf.net.

- libtar >= 1.2.11
    a library for managing tar files. Found at: http://www.feep.net/libtar

- libsigc++ >= 2.0
	to be found at http://libsigc.sf.net

- pkg-config
    Should be distributed with the Linux distribution. Required for detecting
    the libsigc++-package and -flags

- GNU gettext
    Should be distributed with the Linux distribution.

on Ubuntu you need the following packages:
sudo apt-get install automake autoconf libtool m4 autotools-dev g++ libsigc++-2.0-dev libglibmm-2.4-dev libgtkmm-2.4-dev gettext subversion gstreamermm-0.10-deev intltool cvs libtar-dev

on Fedora you need the following packages:
yum install libglademm24-devel gtkmm24-devel gettext desktop-file-utils gstreamermm-0.10-devel expat-devel libsigc++20-devel libtiff-devel libvorbis-devel libjpeg-devel intltool automake autoconf m4 subversion cvs libtar-devel glade3

on OpenSUSE 11.2, you need to manually build and install libtar from the libtar URL listed above (I know of no OpenSUSE rpm for libtar), plus the followin packages:
autoconf gettext-tools intltool automake libtool glimbmm2-devel gtkmm2-devel gstreamermm-0.10-devel libexpat-devel libsigc++2-devel pkg-config make gcc-c++
(Several other rpms are needed, but these others will automatically be present in any normal workstation build, or will automatically be pulled in by rpm dependenices for the packages listed here).

Please report changes in these package installation commands if they fail to work for. Send your mail to bing@nym.hush.com.
